Ohio State tight end Jake Stoneburner spent about a little more than an hour in the Delaware County jail this morning, starting at 9:38 a.m., after being arrested by the Shawnee Hills police and charged with obstructing official business, a misdemeanor, according to Delaware Country sheriff’s records.

Stoneburner, whose family lives just off the fifth fairway at Muirfield Village, was arrested at approximately 9 a.m., booked into the jail a short time later and released about 10:45.

Shawnee Hills police could not be reached for comment early this afternoon, so details of what prompted the arrest aren’t known.

Stoneburner will be a senior for the Buckeyes this season and is considered an integral part of new coach Urban Meyer’s spread offense.

Meyer could not be reached immediately for comment on the arrest.
